At Red Mountain Funeral Home, families, relatives, friends, and neighbors gather here to commemorate the life and ย death of a loved one.ย Many are reunited, andย memories-some sad, some joyful-are enshrined in their hearts, but most of all, love prevails simply by your presence. Your commemorative gifts take many forms, but most importantly your prayerful thoughts and being there to provide love, support, comfort and hope to the bereaved family.
Lets face it no one really wants to see the inside of a funeral home especially when they are going there for a family member or friend and so we do our upmost to provide a peaceful environment with beautiful surroundings and the tranquility you and your family need at a time when it matters.
Furthermore, we understand that it is not always possible to attend a service or aย visitation in person. In light of this, weโve created beautiful interactiveย online tributesย to memorialize your loved one. Leave a condolence, share a memory, post a photo, light a candle,

Cremation is an increasingly popular option for many people, serving as an alternative to burial. Reasons for preferring cremation vary. Some religions request it, while other people consider it more environmentally conscious. Some may simply like the idea of cremation more. During cremation, the remains areย placed in a special furnace and reduced to resemble coarse sand.ย Cremation is not an alternative to a funeral, but rather an alternative toย or other forms of disposition.
Cremated remains can be scattered, buried, or they may be kept with the family in a decorative urn.ย There are manyย ways to scatter ashes today:ย cremated remains can be placed in an artificial coral reef in the ocean;ย they can be launched into space or sent up in helium balloons; they can be spun into glass pieces of art or diamonds.
Some religions welcome cremation, while others forbid it.ย The Catholic Church had previously banned cremation up until 1963, and burial remains the preferred form of disposition today.ย In other Christian denominations, cremation was historically discouraged but is now more widely accepted.ย In eastern religions such as Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Buddhism, cremation is mandated.ย In Islam, it is strictly forbidden.ย Orthodox also forbid cremation, whileย other sects of Judaism support cremation;ย however, burial remains the preferred option.

Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation the night before at our chapel or a church of your choosing. A funeral service the next day at our chapel or a church of your choosing, followed by a procession to the cemetery.
While the casket is typically present at both these events, it is your decision whether to have the casket open. You then have a number of options for interment. Decisions also need to be made on whether the body needs to be embalmed, what kind of casket to use, what cemetery to use and what to put on the gravestone.

Xo # SashaAugustRosalesCarlito Bayne2020-09-241st I would like to THANK Mrs. Diana for helping me and my siblings. She has a beautiful soul and was not only willing to help but went out of her way to help! I think that is a very important quality to have in a business like hers. My father passed away alone in AZ. All of his children live in different states and to make things more complicated, we have this Covid thing going on. So me being in NYC trying to manage this without the help of Red mountain funeral home would have been taxing on me (oldest sibling). This being the 1st burial/cremation I had to arrange/manage. I wasn't sure where to start. So I called several places to get quotes for cremation. However, after speaking to many of them they just made it seem as though it was business as usual. Some straight up even lied! Their website said one thing but when I called, they said another. Mrs. Diana was very caring and made me feel that she would do her absolute best in caring for our late father and his remains. There is a 4 hour difference in time from AZ to NYC and she would still answer calls/texts in the morning (for me 10am for her 6am. Sorry, Mrs. Diana!) with a caring tone. Everything she said she would do, she did! My ONLY regret was not being able to look her in the eyes and say, THANK YOU! Mrs. Diana/Red Mountain Funeral Home, I pray you continue to interact with all the families you service the way you helped us. Many blessing and well wishes to you and your family!
